Country

Chile

Chile is the world's strangest shape: a 4,300 km ribbon of coast pressed between the Andes and the Pacific, never more than ~200 km wide. The mountains give it copper and isolation; the length gives it every climate from desert to glacier — and a long, defensible, ocean-facing frontier.
